Meet the Centuria Board
Welcome to our Centuria’s board members page! Meet the dedicated individuals who lead our association and work tirelessly to enhance the student experience.

Noa Blum
President
My name is Noa, and I am honored to serve as the president of Centuria this year. I am 25 years old and come from Luxembourg. When I’m not busy with classes or organising events, you’ll likely find me on campus, exploring The Hague, or spending time with friends.
Being president of Centuria is both a responsibility and a privilege. My goal is to continue building a community where SSMS students can grow academically, professionally, and socially. This includes organising inspiring academic visits, networking opportunities, and enjoyable social activities that help us connect.
What I enjoy most about Centuria is the people. I love bringing people together and creating experiences that extend beyond the classroom. Leadership is not just about organising events; it’s about listening, learning, and growing with those around you.
Every conversation and idea strengthens our association. So, if you see me around, please don’t hesitate to say hello, share your suggestions, or join me for a chat. Together, we can make this a memorable and successful year for Centuria.

Ilse Lindhout
Vice President
Hi! My name is Ilse, I’m 19 years old, and I’m Dutch–Northern Irish. You’ll usually find me in the SSMS lounge — it’s basically my second home — so if you’d like to say hi or have a chat, that’s the best place to catch me.
I decided to run for Vice President of Centuria because I really value the sense of community we have at SSMS. For me, the lounge and the people here have created a space where I feel comfortable, supported, and connected. My goal is to make sure that every student feels that same sense of belonging — whether you’ve just joined or you’ve been around for a while.
As Vice President, I want to focus on creating opportunities for people to meet each other, share ideas, and build friendships that go beyond the classroom. At the end of the day, university is about more than just studying; it’s also about finding your place and your people. I’d love to help make SSMS that kind of home for everyone.

Anna Vlugt
Editor in Chief
My name is Anna and I am 20 years old. I have lived in the Netherlands for just over three years but I am originally from San Diego, California in the USA. As Editor-in-Chief of the Safety and Security Journal I manage the writing committee, mainly scheduling, editing, writing articles for the Journal.
My main interests in SSMS are international relations as well as political and religious conflict. I spend a lot of time working and studying in the SSMS lounge (or BRV) so if you want to learn more about the journal or just want to chat, I’d be more than happy to do so!

Lauren van Genuchten
Treasurer
My name is Lauren van Genuchten, I’m 20 years old, was born in France and lived a few years in Switzerland. My high school years I lived in Eindhoven, in the South of the Netherlands. A year ago I moved to The Hague, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’m half Dutch and half French.
The SSMS program has been a great experience. I’ve learned a lot this past year; ranging from understanding the basics of sociology to exploring criminology. Beyond the lectures, I’ve also enjoyed meeting many great people in Centuria with different backgrounds and perspectives. It’s been great to hear about their experiences and cultures, and it has given me a broader understanding of the world around me.
This year, I am excited to take on the role of Treasurer. I oversee the association’s finances and manage the budget for planned activities and events. In addition, I manage Centuria’s merchandise, so if you’re curious or have any questions, feel free to contact me!
If you see me around, feel free to say hi! I’m always happy to chat or share a laugh.

Lora Fekete
Public Relations Manager
My name is Lora, and I am a 21-year-old Hungarian student of Safety and Security Management Studies. As the Public Relations Manager of our Safety and Security Study Association, I am responsible for maintaining the organization’s public image and ensuring effective promotion of our initiatives.
I coordinate promotional activities, oversee social media presence, and help organize events that strengthen our community and professional network. Through this role, I aim to enhance the association’s visibility and contribute to its continued growth and engagement.
I decided to join Centuria to become part of its vibrant student community while gaining valuable academic experience in the field of safety and security. I’m always happy to grab a coffee and have a nice chat, so feel free to reach out anytime.

Josh Bosman
Event Manager
I’m Joshua from The Netherlands I’m 23 years old and currently in my second year of SSMS.
It’s a genuine pleasure to take on the role of Event Committee Leader for study association Centuria this year.
I’m keen to coordinate a comprehensive calendar of events that cater to all our members and foster a strong community spirit. We’ll be working hard to create memorable experiences, from informative academic sessions to fun social events.
Planning is already underway, and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish. My door is open to anyone with fresh ideas, constructive feedback, or a willingness to lend a hand. Centuria thrives on the involvement of its members, and I wholeheartedly encourage you to get involved.
I’m committed to running an organized, efficient, and ultimately successful committee.
Let’s make this year’s events the best yet. I look forward to your support and participation in the exciting activities we have planned.
